Welcoming Party 8.12.12

Apparently it hasnt snowed this much this early for quite a while! THe weather loves me :)

SO much snow!!

I woke up at like 8 to wander around the neighborhood and do a little food shopping. OH one of the things i really really really love about korea is the milk. THe milk tastes soo soo soooo goood. since we dont have alot of grass or soil to even grow awesome veggies, we feed our cows nice shit :L (no not hormones) so the milk tastes amazing! :D it tastes healthier and non vomity... you know that vomity smell kinda? no? okay then.. just try the milk if you ever come to Korea. Your mind will be blown PEIUSDHSFIUHDOW

So after my little trip around the HOOD, i realised that i didnt know the pin for the door.
Yeh koreans dont use keys.. its like what are these metal things we always lose and end up paying $50 for a replacement...
Our doors look like a safe thing and u have to slide it up and press in the keypin!
So i kakao talked my sister and she told me the wrong pinnn == so i was locked outside the apt for like 10 min until one of the roomies inside woke up and opened it for me :)

THe sticky note said "Welcome!" THEY SO CUTE!

Later on, my sister and her boyfriend took me shopping to D Cube City! Its this massive shopping centre (looks like chatswood westfield) And it had all these american stores like Zara and HnM. why we no have HnM in australia.. ITs like a cross between Cotton On, Dotti and Bardot .. but better quality and cheaper! I got two dresses and a beanie :)

But the train ride there was crazy.. do not ever go to a popular place on saturdays.. its fucking insane. You literally had to throw urself onto the trains and i saw so many old people get half trampled but its okay here... THe biggest culture shock i had was the transport system. You could never experience anything like this in AUstralia. Imagine the 7:40 train to Redfern, its fully tabouli packed right? well imagine 5 times more people piled onto that train. YOu literally have to crawl over poeple to get off at your station. ANd apparently this is the norm! So dont get too offended when you get shoved around in Korea, its just how they grew up o.o

We had lunch there at the food court :D i got shrimp dumplings :D
they were soo soo soo good!

SO after the hecktik ride back, we had to go food shopping! My sister decided to throw a welcome party for me with her friends! She decided to make rice paper rolls but since my sister cant even fry an egg properly, i had to prepare pretty much everything.. :L but it was all good cause i love cooking and i'm kind of a control freak with my food as some of you may know...
THe super markets are so much fun and super loud!
and omg they have the biggest alcohol section.. LOL koreans... --

THey sell soju in 1.8 L bottles.. and its only like 15 bukks? i dunno actually. but really cheap!

Our trolley full of crap :)

THe dinner was soo soo good! and i'm pretty proud of my slicing skills ;D

HOW PRETTY IS THAT??
(THats one of the roommates Ann)

Jeremy (he looks scared here == why he so awkward with photos) , some guy i forgot his name, some chick i forgot her name, Ann and me! (the french roomie was late)

we all ate soo much! And one of her friends brought Baskin robins ice cream! like the massive tub! BAsin Robins is like the biggest and best ice cream place in korea, so they have soo many flavours and their names are crazy! like "gone with the wind" "shooting star" "i love my mum" lol and they taste to good :)

SO YUMMY! we had melon, popping candy, strawberry cheesecake, vanilla almond and some other cheesecake (koreans love their cheese) all toppped with jellies!

SO yeh the party was so much fun!
I'm getting ready to go to the wedding atm, so i should really really go now.. cant wait! first wedding! ttyl poops!

OH and i found a decent picture of Jeremy and Mary :) they so cute
