The Big Day 9.12.12

Today was my cousins big day! :D :D
Id never been to a wedding so i was super duper excited!! it was a european and korean wedding mixed together. pretty pretty cool!

SO as usual, the day was pretty cold with lots of snow around (still havent seen it snowing hopefully soon tho)

we look so cold..
The wedding was at 63 building which is this really famous building in korea and costs shitloads to have weddings there. It used to be the tallest building until they started building 100 floor apts lol. and the only reason its super expensive is cause you have a super good view of the Hangang River (which is a super big deal here, if u have an apt that can see even a speck of the hangang river, it would cost double the normal price)
SO yeh, we had to trek it all the way to 63 building (pronounced yooksam building ;D ) in the freezing cold.

But it was so worth the horrible trek, the place was beautiful! too bad i couldnt get proper pictures of the place cause i was running around saying hi to relatives...

The side tables where the family sat (me and my sister had to sit at the friends table haha)

So, the ceremony was pretty much like what you see in white movies. The pastor was my grandad (he was a principal so hes a real good speaker, so cute!) and the brides maids gave all these beautiful sppeches about Yulee (the bride). me and my sister were pretty much balling our eyes out by the end of it :L

THe bride and her bridesmaids. the theme was peaches and cream :) or smth like that.. white and peach..? peach and snow? LOL

after the ceremony, the newleyweds walking back down the aisle. THey look so happy! <3

OK OK, i must say the best part of the wedding was the food ...
THere were all these cute dessert canapes lain around the place.. and yes i ate all of them.. i couldnt resist okay??

They tasted as good as they look. these are all the size of a 20cent coin. so adorable!!

Okay, so first up was the appetisers : traditional rice cakes

Then, the first course : salmon something something...

hehe got to sip a lil fancy wine :3

Next was crab soup and korean noodles (didnt take a picture of those, too busy eating :p).. it was green o.o but so good!!
Le crab soup

Then, steak!!
so so soooooooooo good *drools*

THEN FINALLY! LAST BUT NOT LEAST DESSERT!!!

Choc and vanilla mousse with fruits and tempered chocolate stick :)

While the guests were enjoying their million dollar tiny portions of food, the bride and groom were getting changed into their traditional clothes for the korean part of the wedding :)
How pretty is that :3

THey had to do all these traditional things like catching chestnuts thrown by their in laws and biting off a berry thing

biting the berry thing... called daechu in korean.

Hehe photo with the newlyweds. THey so happy!

We took alot of photos :)
