Gangnam Style-ing 12.12.12

Ok, so today was a super jamm packed day! (super tired so there shall be no proof reading and editing.. not that there ever was... but my grammar is going to be more craycray than usual just sayin...)

---------------------------------------------

Initially, i was supposed to be wandering by myself being a lonely tourist but my sisters younger friends from her church in sydney are came to korea for a little holiday as well! THey flew in yesterday from America and decided to hang out with me :)

So first, i went to the famous Gangnam 8) and chillaxed for a bit at Mister Donut reading my ORT.
Green tea rice cake donut with Green tea latte :)

Then after a bit of reading, i trekked it to Kyobo book store which is this major book store franchise thing in Korea.
I swear the gods are on my side cause i didnt even know which direction or even how far this place was but i just exited the station and walked down this massive road for 10 minutes, walked down some steps and BAM i was there o.o
like it was all a daze haha with me just wondering if i should randomly do the gangnam style dance.. IF ONLY THERE WAS A FLASHMOB ;)
so anyway.. BAM BOOK STORE!

Kyoboooooooooo

Inside. It was freaking MASSIVE!

THey have a wide range of foreign books as well. I rekon theyre alright priced. maybes a lil cheaper than aus?
yeh and i wasnt supposed to take pictures LOL. I DIDNT CHOOE THUG LIFE. THUG LIFE CHOSE ME.

So anyway, after my little expedition around central Gangnam, i went to a little subsection off Gangnam, called Samseong (yes like samsung haha) and met up with marys old friends! Theyre all around 22 ish (one graduated from Ruse! and one even went to DC! DC REPRESENTTTT)

We met at this massive shopping centre called COEX
Its like a westfield :)

We didnt really plan on what to do, i guess we just got to know each other and get comfortable! There were 4 of them, David, Shinwoo, Amy and Chorong. THeyre really awesome and despite their intimidating age, they act like 15 year olds :p
Anyway, since we didnt really have anything to do at the big shopping centre, we entertained ourselves at this LG 3D showcase thing.

Stupid people photobombing ==

We got to wear these 3D glasses and play all sorts of games, watch stuff fly out at us and look like the biggest tourists hahaha. It was like legit 3D o.o none of that american blurry shit :L this looked so real o.o we were full going "ooh" and "ahhhh" and reaching our hands out... so embarassing hahah :L

Shinwoo playing a motorbike game. theres no controls, just a sensor and you have to put your arms out like ur riding a real motorbike.  And its 3D!

Oh, and there were also special 3D glasses for poeple with glasses. Ah asians, they think of everything!! THeyre just these lenses without the ear hanging thing and you just clip it onto your glasses nose bridge thing! so cool!
i look so duh sexay ;) HIT ME UP BOITH lul..

THen after we were done embarssing ourselves at the showcase centre, we went to this random Kimchi Museum underneath the COEX....

.. as if we didnt look like the biggest tourists already..

cute little displays

Daniel, Me, Shinwoo and Chorong

Me and Amy :)

lul..............................

THese are just some of the types of Kimchi we have...

There were so many cute little clay displays showing how it was made and stuff!

There was this life sized mannequin and all sorts of props hehehe

THere was even a KImchi Tasting area!! ahaha.. we all had kimchi breath for the rest of the day..

AFterwards, we decided to go out and look for a place to eat! But since all of us are from Aus, we were all fascinated by the snow hehehe... and had a little snow fight.. more like an ice fight ==

haha yupp all 15 year olds here :)

We also came across these trees decorated with snowflakes!!
quite purty :)
Then after like 20 minutes of deliberating in the cold, we decided to go eat at this famous small Mandu place (dumplings) that was on tv and everything! hehe we were totally oppan mandu-styling heyoeheyeo

Its this tiny tiny corner shop thing but it serves the biggest, best and cheapest mandus! (dumplings) and theyre all handmade!

THEYRE SO BIG!  .. thats what she said? no?

we also ordered Dumpling soups each that were like $5 each :) so cheap but so good!

Afterwards, we went to another warm cafe with our stomachs all stuffed :3
It was super fun and super exciting getting to meet new friends and finally hang out with people almost my age!!
We got to plan alot more other awesome stuff together which i'll write about too!  ;D ;D
yeey
